Let’s Rally together to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

IMG_0361.jpeg

Our Mission

Our mission is to mobilize a generation of students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to rally, inspire, train, equip, and unleash students to reach their friends and community with the Gospel. We meet once a month for Bible study, fellowship, and to plan community outreach events. We are a community group, while we encourage church membership, our members are not affiliated with one particular church. We are missionaries in our community rallying together to spread the Word. Everyone is welcome! If you are or know someone that would like to be a part of this ministry please reach out!

Core Doctrines:

Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is God's inspired word, containing truth without error, and the ultimate authority for shaping a person's life.

Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through works or rituals.

The Trinity
We believe in one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human, who died on the cross to atone for the sins of humanity and rose again.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, regenerates believers, and empowers them to live a life pleasing to God.

Believers
We believe that all believers have direct access to God through Christ and are responsible for their own spiritual lives.

Interview With Ministry Director

My name is Julie Wilson. I am a North Carolina,  Harnett County native. I am married to Danny Wilson and we have two teenage daughters and a five-year-old son. I am hairdresser and I have worked in Angier for 25 years. I don’t have a degree in ministry, I just love Jesus and want to share the good news so that others can come to know him too. I have a heart for student ministry, and God has been sewing this ministry together in my heart for sometime. With one leap of faith, it has been amazing! Eight months of divine appointments, and unfolding of plans, God is good and faithful!

What is your goal with this ministry?

It’s really multi layered. First goal is outreach. To reach area youth with the gospel and to help teach and lead youth to become comfortable with outreach and sharing the gospel. Also to provide opportunity for outreach through community events. Second goal is to be a bridge. to bridge community youth together with a purpose. To unite church groups to show that we’re all in this together and to show a united body of Christ. Third goal is to provide. Provide a Friday night of fun for youth to focus on God and their mission. Also to provide a monthly option to groups where leaders don’t have to plan or pay for anything. I have been in the leadership roles and know that sometimes it is awesome to be able to just show up!

Why a community group?

We are part of a community, and that is our mission field. Jesus went out and met people where they were, and that’s the example that we should follow!

Do you have help?

Yes! This ministry is not only my mission but it’s a family mission. My husband, my two teenage daughters and my five-year-old son are all a part of planning and executing events. My great friend, Kristi Byrd, and her husband, Chris, and her daughter Kylie, have come alongside of us to help. I have a group of women who are gifted in interceding and are praying for every step of this journey. I also have a rotating number of people from surrounding churches that are willing to step in when needed.

How do you feel about parent involvement?

I love when parents want to be involved and help, I welcome that! But I do caution that parents consider their teens feelings and how it will affect them. Will they be more involved with their parent by their side or will they be better plugged in on their own? I support both situations and just want what’s best for the students!

In your opinion, why is faith important for teens?

For the same reason as it’s important for adults. Our faith is what sustains us. Biblical truths are what we stand on to live out this life. God’s promises are our life support and hope. God‘s guidance is the only way to live our best life and look forward to an eternity under His wing of grace, mercy and love. Teens face, a lot of trials, and Temptations. They are making choices that will affect the rest of their forever! FAITH gives them purpose and acceptance and love!

How do you approach interpreting the Bible and applying it to ministry?

First rule is scripture interprets scripture. I don’t read verses, I read books of the Bible. If you take one line out of scripture, you can interpret 10 different wrong things. You have to look at scripture as a whole to interpret God‘s word. Don’t just read one verse, read the whole book, and then find another book to further interpret the meeting. I do listen to sermons and read dialogue, but I always measure it to scripture. God‘s word is living and it is all inspired, and He will lead you through it, if you are truly seeking Him!

What’s your favorite verse and why?

Colossians 3:23 - whatever you do work heartily as for the Lord, and not for men.

This verse is a reminder of who I am living for. I apply this verse to my ministry, my marriage, my parenting, my job…. Everything! My life belongs to Jesus and that’s who I am living to please.

What is your greatest weakness?

I am a control freak! I have a hard time asking for help. I get in my mind how I think things should go and get tunnel vision. I am working on this through prayer! This ministry has definitely shown me that I cannot do it all! God has surrounded me with people willing to help, and I know He uses others to help guide us. I am learning to be more open minded!

Can you share a significant spiritual experience or season of growth in your life?

I always felt like I was not good enough for ministry. I didn’t know enough. I didn’t speak good enough. My past would keep me from being heard. I always heard God’s calling, but hid from it because I didn’t trust Him enough. I finally stepped into that calling in a small church, where there was a need. After taking that first step, God showed me the next step and put people around me to encourage me. I found that I felt closer to God when serving Him, and now desire to serve Him more and more!

Rally Time Youth Ministry

Statements of recommendation:

"Rally Time Youth is more than just a rally, it's a spiritual movement that is facilitated by leaders who have a heart for Jesus and want to share their hearts through the building of authentic relationships.  I'm thankful that they've made an impact at CFCA and continue to lead our chapels, the kids love the authentic nature, the games, and having the truth presented to them in a loving way."

  • Pastor Ron Barefoot

t's so great to see what Rally Time Youth Ministry is doing to get the name of Jesus outside the walls of our church buildings to help fulfill the Great Commission given us by Jesus.   This ministry is filled with the absolute truth of God's Word.   I encourage you to support this ministry in every way as they seek to reach the young people of our day with the Good News of Jesus!

  • Pastor Steve Moore

“Helping with the first Dare2Share event was absolutely amazing!  From a parent's perspective, it was inspiring to see how teens showed up in the morning very timid and uncertain, but by the end of the day, they demonstrated confidence in visiting area businesses to practice sharing the gospel. RallyTime provides a comfortable and fun environment for teens to be honest and vulnerable to truly deepen their relationship with Christ and learn to reflect the image of Christ in all areas of their lives. The group leadership is gifted in using testimonies, games, activities, food, social media, music, and other resources to make each event interactive with each other and with the Holy Spirit! I have seen how God is making this HIS ministry for our teens and I can't wait to see what HE does through this group in the next year!”

  • Stacey Thompson

“Our youth is our next generation of leaders. It is our obligation to reach them for Christ. We believe “Rally Time” has the capability and opportunity to throw seeds out and sprout the next generation for God’s glory.”

Psalm 145:4, “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.”

  • Pastor James O’Brien

"Rally Time Youth Ministry seeks to bring students together to provide a safe place for students to gather, to build relationships with one another and to share the good news of Christ to all. It is great to have a place where our students can come meet others and grow in their relationship with Christ."

  • Pastor Nate Redinger

“As a parent to teens and area youth leader at LifePoint Community Church, Rally time youth ministries has been such a blessing in my family’s lives! My two teens and I enjoyed participating in Dare2share and look forward to seeing how The Lord will continue to use this ministry for glory. God Bless!”

  • Sarah Garner

“Our sons have been going for several months. They clearly put a lot of time, effort, and prayer into the ministry. We love the fact that even the fun activities are not just for fun. There’s always an emphasis on the Bible. “

Rally Time Youth Ministry is rooted in the belief that we all have a calling and an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a volunteer staff, we harness our God given skills and resources to successfully achieve goals.
